It was expertly handcrafted in terracotta and hand-painted with delicate details by artisans from the interior of India. These terracotta vase’ bases have been hand embellished with a circular patch of indigenous Madhubani painting. The rich jet black on the base, as well as its artistic form of a body, are magically complemented by golden and white coloured borders. ‘Mystic Madhubani’ Collection- Mithila painting (or Madhubani art) is a style of painting practiced in the Mithila region of India and Nepal. Artists create these paintings using a variety of mediums, including their own fingers, or twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks.
